Other Primary Function The Clinical Social Worker provides social work services to the hospital's patients and their families to address psychosocial and environmental factors which impact their healthy functioning and/or recovery. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team providing direct clinical services including assessment, brief intervention, and coordination of services. Develops a network of community agencies to facilitate referrals. The Clinical Social Worker assists in the development and implementation of department policies, programs, and procedures.
Qualifications and Specifications Master's Degree Required Field of Study:
Social Work or related Experience in a healthcare setting or hospital strongly preferred RI Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) RI Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker strongly preferred LCSWs must obtain LICSW within a period of 3 years from date of hire Care New England Health System (CNE) and its member institutions—Butler Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital, Kent Hospital, VNA of Care New England, Integra, The Providence Center, and Care New England Medical Group, and our Wellness Center—are trusted organizations fueling the latest advances in medical research, attracting the nation's top specialty-trained doctors, and honing renowned services and innovative programs to engage in the important discussions people need to have about their health.
