In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive addiction counseling services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders, supporting their journey toward recovery. Your expertise will help clients develop coping strategies, achieve their treatment goals, and improve overall mental health and well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those seeking help, utilizing evidence-based practices and a client-centered approach. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and intake interviews, to determine individual treatment needs. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and other evidence-based modalities. Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on addiction recovery, mental health support, and relapse prevention. Utilize crisis intervention techniques to manage acute situations effectively and ensure patient safety. Coordinate care with families and community resources to support holistic recovery efforts, including child & family counseling when appropriate. Maintain accurate medical documentation, adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring confidentiality of patient records. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor or equivalent in the respective state. Proven experience in addiction counseling, behavioral health, or mental health settings is a plus. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and clinical documentation standards. Proficiency in crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies. Valid Driver's License Pay:
