Responsibilities Conduct thorough mental health and behavioral assessments utilizing diagnostic tools aligned with ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding standards. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma-related distress. Facilitate case management activities including treatment planning, progress documentation in EMR/EHR systems, and coordination with community resources for home and community-based care. Engage in clinical research initiatives by collecting data on patient outcomes, participating in quality improvement projects, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for medical records confidentiality. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to clients with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, addiction issues, or geriatrics needs such as Alzheimer's care. Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to medical documentation standards while ensuring compliance with clinical confidentiality policies and medical terminology usage. Skills Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. Strong background working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities—including autism spectrum disorder—and diverse cultural backgrounds. Expertise in crisis intervention, mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluation using ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9), and psychiatric patient care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation of patient care activities; experience working within HIPAA guidelines is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health interventions and medical social work practices. Ability to perform intake assessments effectively while demonstrating excellent client communication skills. Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or behavioral health challenges such as PTSD or addiction counseling. Capacity to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams providing clinical counseling across settings including hospital environments or community clinics.
