Position Summary:

The Family Support Specialist will work closely with families to provide guidance, resources, and advocacy that promote stability and well-being. This role focuses on strengthening family systems, connecting families to community resources, and supporting them through challenges using trauma-informed approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage families in supportive services to address social, emotional, and practical needs. Conduct assessments to identify family strengths and areas of need. Develop and implement individualized family support plans. Provide education and coaching on parenting, communication, and coping strategies. Connect families with community resources, healthcare providers, and social services. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency and regulatory standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for families. Advocate for families to access necessary services and overcome barriers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Family Studies, or related field (Master's preferred). Experience working with families in social services or behavioral health settings strongly preferred. Knowledge of trauma-informed care and community resources. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
