Job description Join our team of professionals at Aurora Behavioral Health System. ABHS is a free-standing psychiatric inpatient hospital with an outpatient program. Our psychiatric facility is licensed to treat adolescents and adults for a wide range of psychiatric conditions and chemical dependency. We are currently looking for a Full-Time Intake Counselor. The available schedule is a rotating schedule requiring every other Saturday. #INDHIGH Job duties Handle all referrals for services, schedule assessments, and/or refer patients to appropriate community resources Complete level of care assessments for clients seeking inpatient and outpatient mental health and detox services Admit new patients to the hospital Complete pre-certification with insurance companies to authorize patients' hospitalization Work with nursing, medical, and other disciplines to coordinate care for patients Requirements A master's degree in social work, counseling, or a closely related field is required Licensed in the state of Arizona and in good standing (LAC, LPC, LASAC, LISAC, LMSW, LCSW, LAMFT or LMFT) Strong working knowledge of DSM-5 criteria, community resources, assessment, and crisis intervention Experience in a behavioral healthcare hospital setting is a plus Must be 21 years old Able to pass a background check, drug screen, and meet qualifications for an
