In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to diverse populations, including children and families. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as behavioral therapy, child & family counseling, and applied behavior analysis. Implement behavioral interventions tailored to children and families to promote positive behavior change and emotional resilience. Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant medical documentation and records, ensuring timely updates of patient progress notes and treatment outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts, ensuring continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes. Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies to empower self-management. Adhere strictly to all HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards while managing sensitive patient information with confidentiality. Experience Prior experience in behavioral health or mental health counseling, with a focus on child & family therapy preferred. Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques applicable to pediatric populations is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to perform patient care activities including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Familiarity with medical documentation practices, medical records management, and medical terminology relevant to behavioral health settings. Experience delivering both individual and group counseling sessions in a clinical environment. Strong case management skills with the ability to coordinate care across multiple providers or services. Excellent communication skills with an energetic approach that fosters trust and engagement with clients of all ages.
