Part-Time | Flexible (Monday-Friday, set your own hours)
Compensation:
$60-$67/hour (based on experience + bilingual differential) Join Toward Maximum Independence (TMI), a mission-driven nonprofit empowering children and adults with developmental disabilities since 1981. As a Behavioral Consultant, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals and families through meaningful, person-centered behavioral services—all while enjoying the flexibility to design a schedule that works for you. Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team to support client success Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) Provide hands-on training and guidance to individuals, families, caregivers, and staff Consult with schools, agencies, and funding sources to ensure effective service delivery Support crisis intervention and behavior management within home and community settings Complete required documentation and monthly service reports Licensed clinician ( LCSW, LMFT, PsyD/PhD ) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and co-occurring diagnoses Strong background in behavioral assessment, intervention, and crisis support Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Flexible, self-directed schedule (Monday-Friday) Travel within San Diego County (up to 1 hour) for in-home consultations Participation in at least one monthly clinical meeting Independent contractor position (no benefits; mileage not reimbursed) At TMI, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive.
