Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments for clients to understand their mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Engage clients in individual therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities tailored to their specific situations and goals. Set clear therapeutic goals, routinely monitor and document client progress, and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes. Facilitate teletherapy sessions, offering accessibility for clients who may face barriers to in-person therapy. Maintain accurate, up-to-date case documentation to uphold ethical and regulatory standards in mental health practice. Participate in regular team meetings and professional development activities to enhance your skills and contribute to the continuous improvement of the practice. Patient Population / Client Focus Our clientele includes individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and various other mental health conditions. Counselors at Newport Counseling engage with a diverse array of clients, each with unique backgrounds and experiences, allowing you to tailor your therapeutic approach and expertise to meet their distinct needs. Your role will significantly impact their journey towards healing and personal growth. Qualifications A valid mental health license in Colorado (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD). A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to listen and provide empathetic support to clients. A non-judgmental and compassionate attitude towards clients, fostering a safe therapeutic environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills to successfully manage caseload and documentation. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, experience in teletherapy or working within a community health context is advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will also be beneficial for maintaining accurate client records and documentation.
