Job Description
WSi Healthcare Personnel seeks a Corrections Mental Health Clinician to provide counseling and assessment services to incarcerated adults in a correctional setting. In this role, you will conduct evaluations, develop person-centered treatment plans, lead individual and group therapy, and respond to mental health crises. You will collaborate closely with correctional, medical, and case management staff to support safety, stabilization, and rehabilitation, while maintaining thorough documentation and adhering to legal, ethical, and facility standards. Responsibilities Provide individual and group mental health counseling to incarcerated adults Conduct psychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning Monitor, document, and update patient progress in compliance with facility and legal standards Collaborate with correctional staff, medical teams, and external providers to coordinate care Respond to mental health crises, conduct risk assessments, and implement safety plans Educate patients on coping skills, relapse prevention, and wellness strategies Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and discharge planning Maintain strict confidentiality and adherence to ethical, legal, and correctional policies Required Skills Correctional mental health Clinical assessment and diagnosis Individual counseling Group therapy facilitation Crisis intervention and de-escalation Suicide risk assessment Treatment planning and documentation Trauma-informed care Knowledge of forensic and corrections regulations Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
