In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy services, conduct thorough patient assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans to support clients across diverse populations. Your expertise will help foster healing, resilience, and growth for individuals facing mental health challenges, including those with developmental disabilities, trauma, or chronic conditions. This position offers an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through evidence-based practices and compassionate care. Duties Conduct detailed clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety during acute episodes. Deliver specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and Christian counseling when appropriate. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate social work principles, medical terminology, and behavioral health best practices. Maintain meticulous medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing CPT coding for billing purposes. Engage in clinical research and data collection efforts to improve service quality and support evidence-based practice advancements. Requirements Current licensure as an LCSW or APRN with a specialization in psychiatric/mental health nursing or as an LPC. Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, or cognitive-behavioral approaches. Strong working knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems for diagnostic classification and billing processes. Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques, trauma-informed care, and substance use disorder treatment including addiction counseling. Prior inpatient or outpatient clinic experience is highly preferred; telehealth experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments and patient care planning effectively. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance requirements. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating cultural sensitivity and ethical integrity.
