EAP Counselor #1079 United States Senate - 4.4 Washington, DC Job Details 11 hours ago Benefits Employee assistance program Qualifications Confidential information handling Full Job Description Senate Sergeant at Arms Washington, District of Columbia The U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms' Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is seeking an experienced, mission-driven counselor to provide comprehensive, confidential counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention services to U.S. Senate employees and their immediate family members nationwide. This is a unique opportunity to serve those who support one of the nation's most important institutions. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of behavioral health, organizational consulting, and crisis response, helping individuals and leaders navigate complex personal, professional, and workplace challenges in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. As a trusted support, you will provide trauma-informed clinical support across a broad spectrum of emotional, behavioral, family, and workplace concerns. You must be comfortable responding to urgent situations, exercising sound judgment under pressure, and maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion. Availability during and outside traditional business hours is essential. Beyond direct counseling services, this role serves as a strategic resource to Senate leadership and management. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational consulting skills and the ability to assess workplace dynamics, advise managers on employee concerns, and develop and facilitate training programs, workshops, and wellness initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness and resilience.
