Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Your expertise will support individuals and families navigating mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, trauma, and addiction. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure patient safety and stability. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical research findings and best practices in behavioral health. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts for patients with complex needs, including those with autism, PTSD, chronic pain, or disabilities. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to extend mental health services remotely while maintaining high-quality patient care. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent credential. Proven experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities. Strong knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, behavior management strategies, and social work principles. Familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation. Experience in outpatient or inpatient settings within behavioral health or medical clinics preferred. Competence in utilizing CPT coding for billing purposes and data collection for clinical research projects. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations across age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics.
