Job Description

Job Purpose:
The BA Emergency Evaluator is responsible for assessing and evaluating individuals in crisis situations to determine the appropriate level of care and intervention. This role is critical in ensuring that individuals receive timely and effective behavioral health services in emergency situations, contributing to their overall well-being and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals in crisis to evaluate their mental health status and immediate needs. Collaborate with medical and mental health professionals to develop appropriate intervention and treatment plans. Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services to individuals experiencing acute behavioral health issues. Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards. Coordinate with community resources and support services to ensure continuity of care for individuals post-crisis. Maintain a professional and empathetic approach when interacting with individuals, families, and other stakeholders. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in emergency behavioral health evaluation.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Required Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health setting. Experience in crisis intervention and emergency evaluation. Familiarity with mental health assessment tools and procedures.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations. Proficient in using electronic health record systems. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
