Job Description
Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Group Facilitator to lead and support group sessions focused on mental health and behavioral care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a safe, inclusive environment for individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, facilitating meaningful discussions, and ensuring clients receive effective support tailored to their needs. This role requires strong communication skills, clinical awareness, and the ability to work with individuals experiencing co-occurring disorders. Duties Lead and facilitate group sessions aimed at mental health and behavioral improvement, ensuring active participation from all members. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide guidance, and promote positive engagement within the group setting. Support clients with co-occurring disorders by applying appropriate therapeutic techniques and maintaining a trauma-informed approach. Maintain accurate clinical documentation of group activities, client progress, and relevant observations in compliance with organizational standards. Work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds to ensure respectful, culturally sensitive support and engagement. Uphold client confidentiality at all times, adhering to privacy regulations and organizational policies. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to document sessions, track progress, and manage client information securely. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges and behavioral issues. Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and integrated treatment approaches. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients empathetically and effectively. Experience working with diverse populations from various cultural backgrounds. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information. Familiarity with clinical documentation practices and EMR/EHR systems. Relevant certifications or licenses in mental health or social services are preferred but not mandatory depending on organizational requirements.
