Assessor/Writer Company Overview:
Tampa Bay Area Therapist and Associates is a rapidly expanding and is actively recruiting qualified Master's level practitioners to write Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessments (CBHA).Through a continuum of services, Tampa Bay Area Therapist and Associates provides education, counseling, and supervision to individuals and families in their home community. Tampa Bay Area Therapist and Associates was founded in response to the growing need to serve children, adolescents, and their families in their home community. Tampa Bay Area Therapist and Associates provides individual and group counseling in the surrounding Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg areas and surrounding counties in the State of Florida. We strive for excellence in all we do and maintain a close professional working relationship with our customers, clients, and communities. The need is in the counties Hillsborough, Pinellas and Brevard county of Florida. Also looking for surrounding Counties. Skills /
Requirements:
  • The Assessor must have Masters Degree in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, and/or a human services field and have knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and Medicaid documentation requirements.
  • A non-licensed assessor must have at minimum of 5 years full-time work experience working directly with children and families who are victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, or youth who have been adjudicated delinquent and committed and are emotionally disturbed.
  • They must also have a minimum of 2 years experience working with foster parents.
A licensed assessor must be licensed pursuant to Chapter 491, Florida Statues and must have a minimum of 2 years full-time work experience working directly with children and families who are victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, or youth who have been adjudicated delinquent and committed and are emotionally disturbed.
  • The Assessor must have a minimum of 2 year working experience directly related to CBHAs (i.e. writing, reviewing, etc.) Licensed and Non-Licensed Assessors must have a list of current (within the last two years) conferences and workshops attended, dedicated to relevant child and family treatment.
  • The Assessor must carry current and valid Individual Professional Liability Insurance Coverage as well as proper car insurance.
  • Spanish Speaking is a plus
  • but not required. This is a position(s) offering flexible work life balance/scheduling and a very competitive rate structure with possibility of being full time with benefits.
  • Writing and documenting skills are key to the success in this position.
  • Must be disciplined to meet deadlines.
