Full Job Description TITLE:
Lead Victim Therapist This position is partly funded by contracts and is subject to annual renewal.
POSITION OBJECTIVE
To provide trauma informed telehealth and onsite counseling to victims of crime using evidence-based treatments known to be effective. Additionally, this position will serve as needed in a supervisory capacity to provide support to the Director of Counseling.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Flexibility with schedule as needed, to attend meetings and facilitate trainings, which may include some evenings

  • Ability to take guidance and direction from management The remaining Essential Responsibilities are outlined in the following categories:
  • Supervisory Responsibilities o Assist with training and mentorship of new hires, student interns, and volunteers.
o Provide supervisory support to Counseling Department staff in coordination with the Director of Counseling. o Provide input on hiring decisions for potential new hire candidates. o Assist the Director of Counseling in identifying trainings and continuing education opportunities. o Recommend enhancements/improvements for staff development and client care. o Assist in creating and/or updating Counseling Department forms and procedures.
  • Duties/Responsibilities o Provide full range of trauma related mental health counseling for adults, children, and families o Conduct group therapy o Complete and maintain accurate, thorough, and timely records o Maintain documentation in accordance with organization and state standards o Follow procedures o Collaborate care with other providers effectively o Provide services in onsite or a telehealth setting as instructed o Opportunity to provide individual supervision to trainees may be offered o Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, bending, traveling to outside meetings, regular use of standard office equipment such as the telephone, copier, fax and computer. Demands also involve protracted concentration. Reliable transportation is required. Job involves frequent interactions with internal and external customers, and routinely intense public contact.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health related field such as psychology, counselling, social work, marriage and family.
  • State licensure as a LCSW or
LMHC, LMFT
(unrestricted and clear)
  • Knowledgeable in evidence-based treatments for trauma related presentations
  • Experience working with adults and minors affected by sexual trauma and domestic violence
  • Interdisciplinary approach
  • Willing to learn and able to adapt to change
  • Experience with electronic health records
  • Experience in using telehealth
  • Team oriented and motivated to provide exceptional mental health care to our community
