Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Counselor to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. You will play a key role in delivering evidence-based therapies within a supportive environment that emphasizes client-centered care and ethical standards. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and intake interviews to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans Provide individual, group, family, and youth therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety during acute episodes or emergencies Document clinical notes, progress reports, and treatment outcomes in compliance with HIPAA, clinical documentation standards, and EMR/EHR systems Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, social workers, educators, and family members to coordinate care Facilitate psychoeducational groups and support sessions tailored to specific issues such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, or developmental disabilities Maintain up-to-date knowledge of
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding for accurate medical records and billing purposes Skills Proven experience in psychotherapy, mental health counseling, or clinical social work with diverse populations Strong proficiency in motivational interviewing, crisis management, behavior management, and trauma-focused therapy techniques Expertise in child & family counseling, pediatrics, special education, autism spectrum disorders, and working with individuals with disabilities or co-occurring disorders Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and experience delivering services remotely in compliance with HIPAA guidelines Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and clinical research methods Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art or dance therapy where appropriate Excellent communication skills for client engagement and case management; adept at working within inpatient/outpatient settings and hospital environments Commitment to ethical practice standards aligned with clinical ethical guidelines and confidentiality requirements Join us as a Counselor to empower individuals on their journey toward mental wellness. $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
