## Job Summary As a School Counselor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and well-being of students within the school environment. You will provide counseling services, crisis intervention, and behavioral health support to help students navigate personal, social, and academic challenges. ## Responsibilities
- Conduct behavioral therapy sessions and crisis interventions as needed
- Provide PTSD care and support for students experiencing trauma
- Perform patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate counseling strategies
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of counseling sessions
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to develop behavior management plans for students
- Support students in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, and social skills ## Skills
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a counseling or therapeutic setting
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices
- Ability to conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and PTSD care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, parents, and school staff.
Qualifications :
(1) Master's Degree from an accredited educational institution in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field AND (2) Eligible or Certification by the state of Florida in Guidance and Counseling or School Psychology covering the level of OR 3) School Social Work AND is an
LCSW/LCSWI
