Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in substance abuse and mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality therapeutic services. This role involves working with adults facing various problems with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health. You will be responsible for conducting BioPsychoSocial assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to support clients in their journey toward substance abuse recovery. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients using various therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and art therapy. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to inform treatment planning. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage clients effectively in their treatment process. Implement crisis intervention strategies for clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and case management. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and coding standards (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT). Facilitate family counseling sessions and provide support for child and family dynamics. Offer specialized services such as addiction counseling, grief counseling, and PTSD care. Provide direct support for individuals with substance abuse disorders and any co-occurring mental health disorders. Engage in clinical research activities as needed to enhance service delivery and contribute to the field of behavioral health. Experience Candidates should possess the following qualifications: A valid license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent licensure in the state of practice. Experience working with children and families in clinical settings is preferred. Familiarity with telehealth practices and technologies is a plus. Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, crisis management strategies, and patient care protocols. Previous experience in inpatient or outpatient settings is advantageous. Proficiency in medical terminology, medical records management, and data collection methodologies.
