Part-Time Bilingual Counselor (Spanish-Speaking Required)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled bilingual counselor to provide short-term, goal-oriented support to a migrant and transient population. This role focuses on addressing mental health and substance use challenges through culturally responsive care. Responsibilities Provide brief, solution-focused counseling. Assess and address mental health and substance use concerns. Develop individualized, short-term treatment goals with clients. Conduct intake assessments to understand clients' needs, histories, and goals using standardized diagnostic tools and medical terminology. Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions. Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clients' diagnoses. Collaborate with the clinic team and industry partners to best meet the needs of the clients. Qualifications Bilingual - Fluent Spanish speaking Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field; licensure or certification preferred. Relevant certification, licensure, or working toward licensure preferred Proven experience in mental health counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings Strong knowledge of behavioral health assessments and diagnostic evaluation Familiarity with working with migrant, transient, or underserved populations preferred Experience with crisis management techniques and behavior management strategies for diverse populations

Part-time:
4-6 hours per week Flexible schedule Monday - Friday An ideal candidate will be: Adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful Comfortable working in nontraditional settings Focused on short-term, outcomes-driven care Experience working with substance abuse is desired
