Overview Do you have a passion for working with children and their families? We are looking for a strong leader who is compassionate and dedicated to leading a team of clinical therapists to empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change that will be sustained long after treatment ends. You will receive ongoing training in the Multisystemic Therapy (MST) model as you work with key members to implement MST. Extensive research has proven the effectiveness of MST. Position Summary MST Therapists Our team of MST Therapists will empower families to address challenging and/or problematic behavior and to help youth aged 12-17 make life-transforming changes. Treatment progress is made through intensive interventions such as skill building, changing unhelpful family interactions, and increasing social support, to name a few. For more information on multisystemic therapy, please watch this video: How Does MST Work? Duties & Responsibilities Provide direct clinical treatment using the MST treatment model and principles. Some principles include leveraging strengths and focusing on the positive, understanding sequences of behavior, and increasing mature behavior. Conduct a thorough assessment of the client and family: gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family and their ecology to inform conceptualization of the problem behaviors and interactions within the family's ecological context. Very comfortable working with a diverse community of clients. Knowledge of the types of families in the community Continuously work to engage the primary caregiver, family members, supports, and community agency staff (school, probation, child welfare) in change-oriented treatment. Dedicate time to weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from your supervisor and team members. Receive regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation activities designed to help you acquire extensive clinical skills within the MST treatment model. Assure, along with fellow clinicians, that clients have access to 24 hours/day, 7 days/week support as needed. Qualifications Master's degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, or a related subject area. Experience in serving families in community-based programs Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required Ability and willingness to work with families in their own homes Excellent interpersonal communication skills Strong clinical skills Ability to adapt and individualize program interventions to utilize family strengths and skills. Skill in handling multiple tasks and meeting multiple deadlines. Valid driver's license; maintain current insurance and registration; and have a clear driving record. A clear result from a criminal background check. (Must pass a DCS background check) Must live within one hour of travel time from the designated service area. Clear drug screen results from the organization's designated medical facility.
Preferred Experience:
Significant clinical experience in treating serious antisocial behavior in youth. Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth's environment that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e. family, peer, school, and neighborhood). Training and collaboration with outside agencies. Direct use of pragmatic (i.e., structural, strategic, and functional) family therapies. Individual therapy with adolescents and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques. Marital therapy using behaviorally based approaches. Behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance. Provision of group and individual clinical supervision. Must be able to work on and have knowledge of a PC (personal computer).

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications. Ability to learn and navigate Electronic Health Record systems. Ability to work in a team environment, handle multiple assignments, and meet deadlines. Strong verbal, writing, organizational, leadership, and advocacy skills. Demonstrated ability to provide programmatic, financial, contract management, and quality assurance oversight for agency services.
Other Requirements:
Commitment to the principles of recovery and consumer choice. Valid driver's license, favorable driving record, adequate insurance, and access to an automobile. Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information. Ability to pass a pre-employment and routine criminal background check.
