Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex emotional, behavioral, mental health challenges, and substance abuse fostering resilience and promoting overall well-being. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or behavioral crises. Facilitate specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling and PTSD care. Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality across all records and communications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans, patient care coordination, and research initiatives to enhance treatment outcomes. Utilize telehealth platforms effectively for remote patient consultations while adhering to clinical guidelines and standards of care. Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with medical terminology, ICD coding updates, CPT coding practices for billing purposes, and behavioral health research advancements. Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field from an accredited institution. Valid licensure or certification as required by state or local regulations (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT). Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy. Demonstrated expertise in working with children, adolescents, adults or geriatrics; experience with pediatrics or special education is highly desirable. Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management and working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding systems for diagnosis documentation; experience with CPT coding for billing is a plus. Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to build rapport quickly in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health counseling; experience with medical records management is preferred. Experience utilizing telehealth technology for remote patient engagement; familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards is essential.
