Job Description

Our mission is to improve the health of the people we serve." A ccess Health Louisiana iscurrently seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) . The counselor completes assessments, individual, group and family therapy, coordinates care with psychiatrist, referral sources, primary care physicians, assists with completion of all necessary case records on all assigned students, updating information as appropriate. The salary range for this position is $52,000-$72,000 per year. Salary isdependent on experience and based on a 10-month assignment. Schedule is based on the school's calendar year. We offer a generous compensation and benefits package which includes health, dental and vision insurance; 403b retirement plan with company match; Paid Time Off, holiday and CME pay; and sign-on bonuses. Our LCSWs and LPCs are also eligible for student loan repayment under the National Health Service Corps program and the Federal Public Service Loan Repayment Program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
: Performs initial assessments, evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow up, and education relevant to the clients care (age specific). Obtains histories and develops treatment plans and notes, ensuring accuracy and competency Acts as an advocate for the safety delivery of care and well-being of the client. Assists individual students in addressing obstacles that interfere with personal/social, career or educational development. Identifies and offers assistance to students coping in crisis. Evaluates patient status and response to treatment. Modifies plan of care based on evaluation of patient outcomes. Evaluates continued need for care or need for referral to other providers or support. Uses an effective referral process to assist students who need more intensive counseling or therapy. Reports special cases including child abuse and neglect, truancy, etc., to principal and appropriate personnel and provides appropriate counseling.
