Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our private practice team. Great atmosphere, individual marketing, private office space, EMR system, credentialing, medical billing and administrative support staff are all included with this position. Great opportunity to enter into private practice!! In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse client populations. Your expertise will help clients navigate emotional challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact through direct support, clinical counseling, and innovative therapeutic techniques in a flexible, supportive environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough intake assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans. Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute emotional distress or behavioral emergencies. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and promote positive behavioral change. Provide specialized counseling for issues including grief, trauma (including PTSD), addiction, gender identity concerns, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and chronic pain management. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ICD coding standards (ICD-9/ICD-10). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on inpatient and outpatient cases while managing case documentation and progress notes. Incorporate telehealth platforms to expand access to care and deliver remote counseling sessions effectively. Requirements Valid licensure as an LPC or LCSW with current certification in good standing in Louisiana. Proven experience in clinical counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings; clinic experience preferred. Strong knowledge of psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychopharmacology principles. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation and medical record documentation. Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), geriatrics, and diverse populations. Skills in crisis management, crisis intervention, behavior management, and social work practices. Competence in conducting intake assessments, patient care planning, and case management activities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport across varied client backgrounds; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology related to behavioral health services. Our goal at ACC is that you are only a therapist, you will not be responsible for anything outside of counseling duties. You will make your own schedule but will be required to offer a minimum of 15 hours per week to see clients. Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Psychologist in Louisiana Experience preferred.
