Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling and support to individuals and families, focusing on their emotional and psychological well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care, and various counseling techniques, including motivational interviewing and clinical counseling. The Therapist will work in a collaborative environment, providing services in a office setting. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide therapeutic interventions through individual, group, and family counseling sessions. Utilize techniques such as motivational interviewing to encourage clients in their treatment journey. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients. Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards. Stay informed about current best practices in mental health counseling, including child family counseling approaches. Offer support and guidance to clients dealing with various life challenges, including trauma, grief, and relationship issues. Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills in clinical counseling and Christian counseling if applicable. Requirements Master's degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling from an accredited institution Or a Counselor Intern. Current state licensure as a LCSW, LPC, LMSW, PLPC, or an Intern. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health services. Familiarity with child family counseling techniques is a plus. Strong skills in motivational interviewing and mental health counseling practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
