Contract | Onsite Position Overview A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Clinician (LICSW) to support patients in the Emergency Department. This role focuses on psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and care coordination to ensure safe and appropriate patient outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and behavioral health assessments for ED patients Provide crisis counseling and short-term therapeutic interventions Develop and coordinate discharge and aftercare plans Collaborate with physicians, nurses, APRNs, and interdisciplinary teams Facilitate referrals for inpatient psychiatric care and outpatient services Assist patients and families with care planning and placement decisions Coordinate with community agencies and support services Perform mandated reporting (child abuse, elder abuse) as required Conduct follow-up calls to ensure continuity of care Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, audits, and quality assurance initiatives Triage incoming referrals and coordinate appropriate placements Experience Requirements Minimum 3 years of experience in Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, or similar setting required Education Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required Certifications & Licensure Active Massachusetts LICSW license required CPI/MAB de-escalation certification required (or must obtain within 90 days of hire) For more details reach at jknox@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 732-791-4827.
