The compensation range noted above represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Holyoke Medical Center is in need of hiring a Mental Health Counselor. Under the direction of the Director of Inpatient Behavioral Health, performs a wide range of functions related to the care and treatment of admitted behavioral health patients across the three inpatient units. These functions include participating in the multidisciplinary team approach to patient care, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment and the completion of required documentation. Additional tasks may include, but are not limited to ADL care, obtaining vital signs and facilitating group activities based on behavioral health theories and concepts. Incumbent is expected to adhere to System and Department compliance policies, and any and all applicable laws and regulations. This description covers the essential functions of the position. Education/Experience Counselor I High School/GED, Minimum 1-year behavioral health experience Counselor II Bachelor s Degree and one year of healthcare or High School/GED with three years required, Bachelor s Degree Psychology, Education, or related Human Service Field preferred.
