Job Description

Foundations Group Recovery Centers is a BSAS licensed and JCAHO accredited Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. We currently have an outpatient center located in Mashpee MA, offering outpatient services. We are looking for a Full Time and Per Diem SUD Counselors. Availability Monday-Friday, or Tuesday - Saturday, some evenings.
Qualifications:
Active professional license in Massachusetts required; Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) II or I, Licensed Social Worker (LSWA, LSW, LCSW, LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
Duties & Responsibilities:
o Knowledge of administrative functions including interpersonal communications, office etiquette, and computer skills. o Advanced knowledge of 12-step treatment models and its application in residential treatment o Possess strong clinically ethical standards o Advanced knowledge of HIPAA regulations and CFR 42 requirements o Provides treatment planning and activities based on individualized assessments o Responsible for client treatment within parameters of Foundations program Ø Observes clients during sessions, documents behavior, attitude and progress Ø Enters all client information, group notes, etc. into the appropriate records within scheduled time frames. Ø Provides substance abuse individual, group, and family counseling Ø Facilitates educational groups and informational sessions. Ø Provides quality case management documenting all service coordination activities through the continuum of care. o Maintain knowledge in the up-to-date clinical aspects of treatment service protocols o Attend staff meetings and program required trainings as instructed. o Other duties as assigned Requirements Professional licensure in Massachusetts Experience working with substance use disorder individuals preferred Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Sensitivity to client population High ethical and moral values
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
