(LEWC Inc.) is a CARF-accredited Integrated Behavioral Health Clinic dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate, and culturally responsive mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout Maryland's Eastern Shore. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to improving access to behavioral healthcare while promoting resilience, wellness, and recovery. We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Maryland Licensed Child & Adolescent Mental Health Counselor to join our growing clinical team. Position Summary The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Counselor provides individual, family, and group therapy to children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, social, and mental health challenges. The clinician will collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners to develop comprehensive treatment plans that support each client's emotional well-being and success.
Qualifications Required:
Active Maryland clinical license in good standing (LCSW-C, LCPC, or
LGPC/LMSW
working under approved supervision) Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field Experience providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents Knowledge of trauma-informed and evidence-based treatment practices Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to pass required background checks Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred:
Experience working in outpatient mental health, school-based programs, or community behavioral health Experience with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral disorders, and family systems Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments. Develop individualized treatment plans. Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric rehabilitation staff, primary care providers, schools, and community agencies. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings. Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed. Complete documentation in accordance with CARF, COMAR, Medicaid, and agency standards. Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
