Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dedicated mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, trauma, behavioral issues, and co-occurring disorders through evidence-based practices. You will play a key role in developing personalized treatment plans, conducting comprehensive assessments, and delivering innovative therapeutic interventions via in-person and telehealth platforms. Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to inform treatment planning. Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy. Implement evidence-based interventions including motivational interviewing, applied behavior analysis (ABA), grief counseling, addiction counseling, and art or dance therapy when appropriate. Manage crisis situations with effective crisis intervention techniques and crisis management strategies to ensure client safety. Document all clinical interactions accurately in medical records adhering to HIPAA guidelines and clinical documentation standards while maintaining confidentiality. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management efforts for clients with co-occurring disorders or complex needs such as autism spectrum disorder or PTSD. Facilitate intake assessments for new clients, ensuring comprehensive understanding of client needs and medical terminology for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Utilize EMR/EHR systems efficiently for patient care documentation, data collection, and progress tracking in compliance with clinical ethical guidelines. Skills Proven expertise in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and evidence-based practices. Strong experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and geriatrics. Skilled in crisis intervention techniques and crisis management to handle urgent mental health situations effectively. Excellent communication skills for client engagement, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology relevant to mental health care. Experience delivering telehealth therapy services using HIPAA-compliant platforms; comfortable adapting to outpatient or inpatient settings as needed. Knowledge of clinical documentation standards including medical records management and treatment planning procedures. Ability to work within clinical ethical guidelines while providing compassionate patient care across diverse populations.
