What We're Looking For:
The Sante Group is seeking a Full-Time Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Phone Counselor to join our crisis intervention team in Timonium, MD. As a SUD Phone Counselor, you will provide support to callers across Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, and Carroll County. These services may include supportive counseling, information and referrals, crisis intervention counseling, suicide prevention and intake screening of callers to the Mobile Teams, In Home Intervention Teams, Urgent Care Center and other services. This also includes dispatching appropriate services when needed as well as providing goal directed counseling, crisis planning, and follow up for clients served.
What You'll Do:
Triage incoming crisis calls and obtain client information. Conduct assessments and dispatch appropriate resources when needed. Deescalate clients in crisis over the phone. Develop appropriate and realistic crisis plan and complete appropriate follow tasks. Effectively communicate clients needs while making internal agency referrals. Adhere to Lifeline Standards, Crisis Now Standards, and appropriate accrediting bodies best practices when providing services. Network with local SUD providers to develop and expand resources. Knowledge and familiarity with community resources, both mental health and non-mental health. Abide by all federal, state and local confidentiality and reporting regulations Complete documentation in an accurate and thorough manner.
What We Require:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field of study OR ten (10) years of experience working on a crisis hotline. CAC-AD Certification or eligible to receive the certification Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in the SUD field. Knowledge of substance use disorder providers and various levels of care.
