Second Chance Care Position Summary Second Chance Care is seeking a dedicated Addictions Counselor to join our team. The counselor will provide direct clinical services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This role includes managing a caseload of clients, facilitating group sessions, conducting individual counseling, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery goals. Key Responsibilities Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on relapse prevention, coping skills, and recovery education. Provide individual counseling sessions that address client needs, treatment goals, and progress. Maintain an active caseload and ensure timely documentation in compliance with licensing and accreditation standards. Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Collaborate with medical staff, mental health clinicians, and case managers to coordinate care. Support clients in connecting with community resources and aftercare services. Uphold ethical and professional standards consistent with state licensing and CARF accreditation requirements. Qualifications Licensed or certified as an Addictions Counselor in Maryland (CAC-AD, CSC-AD, LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LCSW, or ADT accepted). Experience in substance use treatment, preferably in an outpatient or intensive outpatient setting. Strong group facilitation and counseling skills. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and meet deadlines. Commitment to client-centered care and professional integrity. Work Schedule Full-time, primarily Monday-Friday, with some flexibility for evening group sessions as needed.What We Offer:
