POSITION SUMMARY
The
AWAKEN360
Counselor provides professional, ethical, compassionate, and clinically sound counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. The counselor is responsible for providing high-quality mental health services while supporting the mission of
AWAKEN360
to restore hope and empower individuals toward a renewed hope for the future through education, counseling, and community.
AWAKEN360

Counselors are expected to approach every client with dignity, respect, compassion, and genuine care, recognizing that everyone is welcome at the table. The counselor will provide services consistent with their education, training, professional scope of practice, and Missouri licensure requirements.
AWAKEN360
counselors may utilize evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches including, but not limited to, CBT, DBT, EMDR, TF-CBT, family systems, person-centered, solution-focused, expressive therapies, and other appropriate clinical interventions. The counselor will also need to be able to provide biblically based Christian counseling as an advertised service.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES.
Clinical Counseling Services Provide individual, family, couples, and/or group counseling within the counselor's education, training, experience, and scope of practice. Conduct clinical assessments and identify client needs. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients. Establish measurable and clinically appropriate treatment goals. Provide therapeutic interventions consistent with the client's treatment plan. Monitor client progress and modify treatment interventions as clinically indicated. Provide trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive care. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with all clients. Provide crisis assessment and intervention when clinically appropriate and follow

crisis procedures. Coordinate referrals and continuity of care when a client's needs fall outside the counselor's scope of practice. 2. Documentation & Clinical Compliance Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical records. Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other required documentation within established timelines. Maintain documentation in accordance with

policies, professional standards, payer requirements, and applicable Missouri laws and regulations. Maintain confidentiality and protect client information in accordance with HIPAA and applicable privacy requirements. Complete required continuing education and maintain professional licensure and certifications. Participate in clinical supervision, consultation, and case review as required. 3. Client-Centered Care

Counselors may be encouraged to participate in: Community outreach initiatives. Youth programs and school-based initiatives. Mental health education and prevention programs. Support and educational groups. Community events. Workshops and presentations. Counseling Beyond the Couch activities. Other

programs designed to restore hope and strengthen individuals, families, and communities. Participation will be based on the counselor's qualifications, availability, role, and organizational needs. 6. Collaboration & Teamwork Work collaboratively with
AWAKEN360
counselors, administrative staff, leadership, referral sources, schools, community organizations, and other professionals. Participate in staff meetings and clinical consultation. Communicate professionally and respectfully with coworkers. Assist with appropriate coordination of client care. Maintain positive relationships with referral sources and community partners. Support a healthy, professional, encouraging workplace culture. 7. Professional Development Maintain current Missouri licensure and all required credentials. Participate in continuing education appropriate to the counselor's areas of practice. Develop specialized clinical skills that support AWAKEN360's growing service population. Remain current on ethical standards, clinical practices, documentation requirements, and applicable laws. Participate in

training and professional development opportunities. Pursue additional training in areas that support the organization's mission and client needs. 8. Administrative & Organizational Responsibilities Maintain an appropriate professional office environment. Follow
AWAKEN360
policies, procedures, and administrative expectations. Maintain appropriate scheduling and communication with clients. Provide reasonable notice when canceling or rescheduling appointments whenever possible. Assist with appropriate client follow-up and coordination of services. Complete required administrative tasks associated with assigned caseloads. Participate in organizational initiatives and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field. Current Missouri professional counseling license appropriate to the position, such as LPC, or appropriate provisional licensure when applicable. Ability to provide services within professional scope of practice. Knowledge of clinical assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and clinical documentation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Commitment to ethical and professional standards. Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team. Ability to demonstrate compassion, maturity, sound clinical judgment, and emotional self-awareness. Preferred Experience working with trauma and/or complex mental health needs. Training in EMDR, DBT, CBT, TF-CBT, PCIT, family systems, expressive therapies, or other evidence-based approaches. Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, or families. Experience providing group counseling. Experience working in community-based or nonprofit settings. Experience incorporating Christian faith into counseling when clinically appropriate and requested by clients. Experience with community outreach, presentations, or mental health education.

Ability to maintain a professional counseling environment. Ability to sit, stand, communicate, and interact with clients for extended periods.
