Mental Health Counselor

About Us Black Mountain Counseling Center (BMCC) provides behavioral health counseling by licensed, professional mental health counselors to individuals generally within Buncombe and McDowell counties. BMCC offers services without regard to the client's ability to pay or insurance status. Our goal is to meet the ever-growing need in east Buncombe and west McDowell counties for affordable and accessible mental health counseling services for all residents. Black Mountain Counseling Center has a dynamic team of therapists that work well together and are looking to add another team player as the need for counseling services rises.

Job Details Pay:

• $55.00 per session
• $75.00 per intake
• Bi-weekly pay

Job Type:

• Contract for at least 10 client services hours a week. More hours are available upon request.
• Most Sessions will take place in-person at either our Black Mountain or Old Fort offices.

There may be some virtual sessions if requested by clients so a private home work space with reliable internet is required to be eligible for the position.

Schedule:

• Primarily Monday through Friday
• Counselors can maintain their own schedule.

Job Description:

• Provide mental health services to adult, child and/or adolescent clients that are referred to BMCC.
• Provide complete documentation in a timely manner in our electronic health record including; intake notes, treatment plans, progress notes, termination notes, and any other required miscellaneous notes.

Qualifications:

• Counselors can be fully or provisionally Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors or Licensed Clinical Social Workers. Fully licensed clinicians preferred.
• All counselors must have at least a Master's level degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work from an accredited program.
• Must maintain Professional Liability Insurance Coverage.
• Must maintain Counseling Licensure.
