This position provides outpatient mental health services within local schools, helping children and adolescents overcome emotional, behavioral, and social challenges while collaborating with families, educators, and community partners. Position Summary The School-Based Therapist delivers individual, family, and group therapy to students in a school setting. This role focuses on improving students' emotional well-being, increasing school success, and reducing barriers to learning through evidence-based behavioral health interventions. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive behavioral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Deliver individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based practices. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record. Collaborate with school staff, parents, physicians, and community providers. Participate in treatment team meetings and care coordination. Respond appropriately to behavioral health crises and implement safety planning when needed. Maintain compliance with Medicaid, agency, and state documentation requirements. Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field. Licensed or associate licensed in North Carolina (LCSW/LCSWA, LCMHC/LCMHCA, LMFT/LMFTA, or equivalent). Experience working with children and adolescents is preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Valid North Carolina driver's license and reliable transportation.
