In this role, you will help foster a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where clients can build coping skills, strengthen emotional resilience, improve self-awareness, and develop meaningful connections in recovery. At The Garden Recovery and Wellness, we utilize a trauma-informed, client-centered approach that blends evidence-based practices with holistic and experiential programming. Group Facilitators play a vital role in creating engaging programming that promotes healing, personal growth, accountability, and long-term recovery. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a collaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented treatment environment. Duties Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational group sessions for clients in Partial Care (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Outpatient (OP) programming. Lead discussions and activities focused on relapse prevention, emotional regulation, coping skills, communication, self-esteem, mindfulness, recovery education, healthy relationships, boundaries, and overall wellness. Develop and implement engaging, evidence-based group curricula tailored to the needs of clients in recovery. Utilize therapeutic approaches including Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), mindfulness-based interventions, and strengths-based approaches. Create and maintain a calm, emotionally safe, and inclusive therapeutic environment that encourages participation and peer support. Monitor client engagement, group dynamics, and behavioral presentation while providing appropriate support and redirection when necessary. Apply effective de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques when needed to support client safety and stabilization. Maintain accurate and timely documentation including group notes, attendance, behavioral observations, and clinical communication in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards. Collaborate with therapists, case managers, medical providers, behavioral health technicians, and leadership to coordinate care and communicate relevant client updates. Contribute creative ideas for experiential programming, wellness activities, and client engagement initiatives aligned with our treatment philosophy. Requirements Experience working in behavioral health, substance use treatment, mental health, social services, or related clinical settings preferred. Strong understanding of addiction, recovery, mental health, and co-occurring disorders. Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology preferred. Ability to facilitate engaging group discussions while maintaining professionalism, empathy, and appropriate boundaries. Experience with crisis intervention, de-escalation, behavior management, and therapeutic communication preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational skills and ability to complete documentation within required timeframes. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA standards. CADC, LCADC, LPC, LSW, or related credentials are a plus but not required depending on role level.
