Work Environment This position is entirely remote, allowing you flexibility while still maintaining a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Some variation in your hours may be necessary to accommodate patient needs, ensuring that we are providing timely access to our services. Our outpatient setting emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, enabling you to work alongside a diverse group of professionals dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for our clients. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough and sensitive mental health assessments, evaluating patients' unique experiences to inform personalized treatment plans. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored specifically to the individual needs of each patient, respecting their cultural and personal backgrounds. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing mental health concerns and fostering resilience among clients. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all aspects of patient care are coordinated and effective. Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support and guidance during critical mental health emergencies. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, thereby empowering them in their recovery journeys. Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards set forth in the mental health profession. Actively engage in team meetings, case conferences, and cultural competency training sessions to foster continuous learning and development. Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in mental health to enhance therapeutic methods and effectiveness in treatment. Patient Population / Client Focus Your role will specifically target a diverse array of clients from the Elizabeth, NJ area and beyond. We proudly serve individuals from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds, including those identifying as LGBTQ+ and immigrant populations. By understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by these groups, you will help to create a more equitable healthcare experience in mental health services. Qualifications Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Possession of a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey. Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and culturally competent treatment approaches, ensuring therapy is tailored to diverse backgrounds. Experience in providing individual and group therapy using inclusive methodologies that recognize and respect cultural differences. Strong crisis intervention skills, capable of maintaining composure in challenging and high-pressure situations. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to develop rapport and trust with clients from various walks of life. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications required for efficient documentation and reporting. Commitment to upholding professional boundaries, ethical guidelines, and confidentiality standards. A strong collaborative spirit that allows you to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team. Preferred Experience Experience working within outpatient clinics or behavioral health settings with a focus on culturally responsive care. Proven track record of successful case management and patient advocacy in optimizing treatment pathways. Familiarity with community resources and support systems available for diverse populations. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position ranges from
USD 70,000
to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
