What You'll Do As a DDD Program Counselor, you'll play a hands-on role in helping participants achieve their personal goals and become more connected to their communities. Your days will be anything but ordinary.
You will:
Create meaningful community experiences through outings, activities, events, and everyday opportunities. Build relationships that encourage confidence, social development, and independence. Support individual goals through skill-building, independence training, and personalized guidance. Provide compassionate behavioral support while promoting dignity, choice, and respect. Document progress and maintain accurate records that reflect each participant's accomplishments and journey. Advocate for participants , ensuring their needs, preferences, and goals are heard and respected. Assist with transportation and community outings , helping ensure every experience is safe, inclusive, and enjoyable. What You Bring We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping others and brings: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field. Valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean driving record. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic records systems . Willingness to complete required training, including CPR/First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and other required trainings . A Master's degree or previous human services experience is a plus! Pay Rate:
