We are looking for professionals who are passionate about helping individuals and families improve their emotional well-being, develop healthy coping skills, overcome behavioral and substance use challenges, and achieve greater stability in their daily lives. Positions/Credentials We Are Interested In We welcome qualified Nevada behavioral health professionals, including: Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors (LCPC/CPC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) Clinical Professional Counselor Interns (CPC-I) Marriage and Family Therapist Interns (MFT-I) Clinical Social Work Interns (CSW-I) Licensed/Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors and eligible substance use treatment professionals Other qualified behavioral health professionals who meet Nevada requirements for the services provided.

Responsibilities:

The Mental Health Therapist/Substance Abuse Counselor will provide behavioral health services within the scope of their Nevada license, certification, or internship status.

Responsibilities may include:

Conduct comprehensive behavioral health and/or substance use assessments. Provide individual, family, and/or group counseling based on client needs and provider qualifications. Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans based on identified clinical needs. Provide evidence-based and person-centered interventions for mental health, behavioral, emotional, and/or substance use concerns. Assist clients in developing coping skills, emotional regulation strategies, relapse-prevention skills, and healthier behavioral patterns. Monitor client progress and modify treatment approaches when clinically appropriate. Complete progress notes, treatment plans, assessments, discharge documentation, and other required clinical records accurately and within agency timelines. Maintain documentation that supports medical necessity and the services provided. Coordinate care with psychiatrists, medical providers, case managers, rehabilitation providers, schools, community agencies, and other members of the client's treatment team when appropriate. Identify safety concerns and follow appropriate crisis intervention and reporting procedures. Maintain professional boundaries and comply with HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, ethical standards, and applicable Nevada regulations. Participate in supervision, case consultation, staff meetings, and training as required. Maintain all required licenses, certifications, continuing education, and credentialing requirements. Substance Abuse Counselor Responsibilities For candidates providing substance use treatment, additional responsibilities may include: Conduct substance use assessments and identify treatment needs. Provide individual and/or group substance use counseling within the provider's approved scope of practice. Develop individualized substance use treatment and recovery goals. Provide education regarding addiction, recovery, triggers, coping strategies, and relapse prevention. Utilize evidence-based approaches such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral interventions, and recovery-oriented strategies when appropriate. Assist clients with identifying barriers to recovery and strengthening natural and community supports. Coordinate with other behavioral health and community providers to promote continuity of care.

Qualifications Candidates must:

Hold an active Nevada license, certification, or eligible intern status appropriate for the position and services provided. Be in good standing with the applicable Nevada licensing or certification board. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate the ability to maintain timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate documentation. Understand professional ethics, confidentiality, HIPAA, and client rights. Be comfortable working with clients from diverse backgrounds and with varying behavioral health needs. Be dependable, organized, compassionate, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Meet applicable credentialing requirements for insurance and/or Nevada Medicaid when required for the position. Nevada Medicaid enrollment or eligibility for enrollment is strongly preferred for applicable positions. Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Mental health counseling, substance use treatment, co-occurring disorders, trauma-informed care, anxiety and depression, family counseling, behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention, relapse prevention, community behavioral health, or Medicaid behavioral health services.
