Rural Nevada Counseling (RNC) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) Job Description and Profile The Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for Rural Nevada Counseling (RNC), the Agency, is Licensed in good standing with the State of Nevada as a Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). The LMHC provides exemplary psychotherapeutic services within the scope of practice to all RNC's patients and their families. The LMHC is a member of the interdisciplinary team supporting the Agency's treatment program and philosophy and assures the deliverance of quality treatment to the patients and their families. The LMHC provides comprehensive mental health services for the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of RNC's patients. The LMHC is knowledgeable in human behavior performance and understands individual differences in abilities, personality, interests, learning, and motivation. The LMHC is familiar with psychological research methods, and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders. The LMHC actively participates as a member of the clinical team and assists in creating and implementing behavioral health treatment plans and consults with doctors, case managers and nursing staff as needed to provide quality patient care. Under direct supervision of the Clinical Director for clinical oversight or the Site Office Manager for administrative, the LMHC/I actively participate as a member of the clinical team and assists in creating and implementing behavioral health treatment plans and consults with doctors, case managers and nursing staff as needed to provide quality patient care. The LMHC participates in the formulation of patient's treatment plans, including the establishment of treatment goals and objectives based on the Differential Diagnosis, with supporting documentation using The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5), the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Patient Placement Criteria (PPC), and the Level of Care Utilization System (LOCUS), and the Children's Uniform Mental Health Assessment (CUMHA), and the Child and Adolescent Services Intensity Instrument (CASII).

Clinical Director and Site Office Manager Duties and Responsibilities Skills and Competencies Document all patient contacts and complete assessments within 48 hours Consult with doctors, case managers, and nursing staff as needed to provide quality patient care Collaborate with supportive services such as TCM, PSR, BST and Peers in order to better support the client's needs. Prepare professional-patient assessments to include differential diagnoses with supporting documentation using

DSM-5, ASAM

PPC, LOCUS, CASII, and CUMHA criterion, following the State of Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) policies Participates in the formation of Patients' treatment plans, including the establishment of treatment goals and objectives based off needs identified in Client's assessment. Provides evidence-based curriculum group therapies as well as conducting educational and other didactic groups as assigned Provide evidence-based therapeutic individual and Family sessions Attends required training and meetings as scheduled Knowledgeable in the needs of patients and the ASAM, CASII and LOCUS levels of care and provide effective treatment Provide secure Telehealth sessions and groups as needed Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, including coworkers, superiors, subordinates, patients, vendors, and associations Remain in compliance with supervision and training requirements outlined by the board of examiners Exemplary customer service skills, including ability to create positive first impressions and develop partnerships internally and externally May be required to report to and/or appear in specialty courts to advocate for clients Excellent interpersonal and strong oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, including strong attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive documents and information Proficiency in technology especially in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Email, Calendar, Office Word, and other software programs as required Other duties, responsibilities, and assignments as needed Education, Qualifications and Experience At least 21 years of age Is a citizen of the United States, or is lawfully entitled to remain and work in the United States Pass State and Federal background checks Pass any drug testing as required by the Agency Drivers History Report with no major violations License Active and good standing with the State of Nevada Board of Examiners as Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW ) Physical Demands These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. $30.00 - $55.00 per hour
