Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The TRUST Center is a leading outpatient substance abuse program dedicated to supporting individuals in their recovery journey from drug and alcohol addiction. Our comprehensive multi-disciplinary team is committed to providing exceptional group and individual counseling, utilizing Trauma-Informed Care practices to address the complex needs of our clients, including mental health, legal, medical, and relationship challenges. As a Primary Counselor, you will play a vital role in our treatment team, offering guidance and support to clients as they work towards recovery. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of assigned caseload from admission to discharge, including screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, education, crisis management, case management, referral, consultation, and record keeping. Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment recovery plans. Maintain all required documentation in compliance with program regulations. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as requested. Facilitate a supportive group living environment conducive to community reintegration. Uphold client confidentiality and adhere to high ethical and professional standards. Engage in individual and group supervision, case review, and clinical staff meetings. Meet continuing education and licensure/certification requirements related to the position. Perform other duties as delegated by the program, clinical, or Senior Director. Qualifications Minimum credential CASAC T with eligibility to obtain the CASAC credential within the first year of employment; CASAC preferred or QHP licensed by NYSED. Familiarity with electronic health systems. Experience with individual and group counseling. Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Application of mental health and substance abuse services (SAMHSA) best practice indicators. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Basic keyboard and computer proficiency (Windows/Microsoft Office preferred). Valid NYS Drivers license.
Offered compensation:
$23.50/hr - $30/hr
