Job Description
Lexington Center, the largest provider of outpatient and residential substance use disorder services in the Hudson Valley, is seeking a full-time Certified Peer Support Specialist for our Poughkeepsie Comprehensive Outpatient Program. This position provides support services for persons who are struggling with mental illness and substance abuse. The Certified Peer Support Specialist will work with clients in the community and in the clinic to provide care coordination and transportation services, work individually with clients to develop a recovery plan, provide recovery support and to run peer support groups. Experience working with mental health and/or substance abuse persons, as well as lived experience is required. Must have a valid CRPA or CRPA-P, driver's license and successfully meet all OASAS requirements regarding a background check clearance.
