Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Mental Health Therapist to provide highquality, traumainformed therapeutic services to individuals and families experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges. The ideal candidate will utilize evidencebased practices, deliver culturally responsive care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support client wellness. This role spans both Crisis Residence and MHOTRS clinic settings and plays a key role in crisis stabilization, treatment planning, and recoveryoriented, strengthsbased care.

Please note:
MHC-LP, LMSW, LMSE, or Limited Permit salary base rate is $59,789.34Position may be eligible to a sign on bonusKey Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and oversight to direct care staff, ensuring effective crisis intervention and trauma-informed engagement Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Deliver psychotherapy using evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, or similar approaches Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered care Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with billing, legal, and ethical standards Facilitate group therapy sessions Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support Educate clients and families on mental health conditions, coping skills, and community resources Participate in on-call coverage rotation Foster a culture of inclusion, belonging, and respect Uphold strict confidentiality and professional ethical standards QualificationsMasters degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field Licensure preferred:LMSW, LCSW, LMHC
(higher salary range for fully licensed candidates) Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses and therapeutic interventions Experience with evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation Familiarity with OMH programs and Medicaid billing strongly preferred Valid NYS Driver LicenseReliable vehicleBenefits:
