The QBHS is responsible for implementing individualized treatment interventions under the direction of a licensed clinician, reinforcing treatment goals established within the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP), providing skill-building interventions, behavioral support, crisis prevention, psychoeducation, and community-based therapeutic services designed to improve the client's functioning across home, school, community, and other natural environments. The QBHS functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and collaborates with therapists, case managers, schools, physicians, caregivers, community partners, and other service providers to ensure continuity of care and positive treatment outcomes. Services shall be delivered in accordance with Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS), Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM), Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), CARF Accreditation Standards, HIPAA, and all policies and procedures established by The Standpoint LLC. Performance Expectations (Quality and Quantity) The QBHS shall demonstrate sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to effectively implement therapeutic interventions designed to assist clients in achieving measurable treatment goals. Responsibilities include providing Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) in the home, school, office, and community settings; implementing evidence-based behavioral interventions; teaching coping skills, emotional regulation, communication skills, independent living skills, conflict resolution, social skills, anger management, problem-solving techniques, and daily functioning skills appropriate to the individual's treatment plan. The QBHS is responsible for maintaining regular communication with the supervising clinician regarding client progress, barriers to treatment, safety concerns, and recommendations for ongoing services. The QBHS shall actively participate in treatment team meetings, staff meetings, supervision sessions, quality improvement initiatives, and required trainings while maintaining positive working relationships with clients, families, referral sources, schools, courts, hospitals, managed care organizations, and community stakeholders. The QBHS is expected to maintain a productive caseload of 30 to 40 completed billable service hours each week, while ensuring that all services meet medical necessity requirements and organizational productivity expectations. Productivity will be monitored regularly and discussed during supervision to ensure compliance with agency standards and contractual expectations. Documentation and Billing Expectations The QBHS shall complete all required documentation within agency-established timeframes. Progress notes shall accurately reflect the services provided, interventions utilized, client response, measurable progress toward treatment goals, and ongoing medical necessity. Documentation shall comply with Medicaid billing standards, OhioMHAS regulations, CARF Accreditation Standards, and The Standpoint LLC policies and procedures. All documentation must be complete, accurate, legible, submitted timely, and approved for billing before compensation is issued. Training and Continuing Education The QBHS shall successfully complete all required onboarding and annual training requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, Client Rights, Corporate Compliance, Cultural Competency, Trauma-Informed Care, Crisis Prevention and Intervention, CPR/First Aid (if required), Bloodborne Pathogens, Infection Control, Documentation Standards, Suicide Prevention, Ethics, Medicaid Billing Requirements, OhioMHAS Standards, CARF Accreditation Standards, De-escalation Techniques, Behavioral Intervention Strategies, Person-Centered Planning, and all additional agency-required in-service trainings. Organizational Expectations The QBHS shall demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, compassion, cultural humility, and ethical conduct in all interactions with clients, families, coworkers, and community partners. The employee shall maintain confidentiality at all times, protect client rights, follow agency policies and procedures, report incidents promptly, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment. The QBHS is expected to attend all required supervision sessions, staff meetings, organizational trainings, and quality improvement activities while maintaining flexibility to meet the scheduling needs of clients and the organization. General Knowledge and Skills The QBHS must possess knowledge of behavioral health disorders, child and adolescent development, family systems, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, behavioral modification techniques, person-centered planning, therapeutic skill-building interventions, community resources, documentation standards, HIPAA, Medicaid behavioral health services, and evidence-based behavioral health practices. The employee must demonstrate excellent communication, organization, time management, problem-solving, interpersonal, and documentation skills while maintaining professional boundaries and ethical practice standards. Preferred Qualifications Candidates must meet all Ohio Department of Medicaid and OhioMHAS qualifications to serve as a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist. A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or a closely related behavioral health field is preferred. Previous experience providing Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), community psychiatric supportive treatment, case management, behavioral health interventions, or children's behavioral health services is strongly preferred. Additional Job Requirements The QBHS must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance. Daily travel throughout the community is required. The employee must be proficient in electronic health records, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office applications, telehealth platforms, and virtual meeting software. Evening, weekend, and flexible scheduling may be required to meet the clinical needs of clients and families. The employee shall maintain regular attendance, complete all required documentation timely, actively participate in supervision and training, communicate effectively with leadership, support organizational initiatives, maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, and consistently provide high-quality therapeutic behavioral health services that promote positive outcomes for the individuals and families served.
