Job Description

A charming family is seeking a reliable and engaging caregiver to provide part-time care for their 10-year-old autistic child. The child is happy, well-behaved, and thrives with consistent routines and positive guidance.
Schedule:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays:
5:00 PM - 8:00
PM Saturdays:
9:30 AM - 11:30 AM (flexibility available)
Location:
43015 (Lewis Center Area)
Child Profile:
10-year-old autistic child Communicates using short answers rather than conversational speech Requires gentle guidance and advance warnings during transitions Working on sentence development and conversational skills
Care Responsibilities :
Engage the child in developmentally appropriate activities (play, reading, building, sensory toys) Support communication and language development through modeling and interaction Assist with smooth transitions between activities Supervise and engage in indoor and outdoor activities including walks, reading, and sensory play. Maintain a calm, structured, and supportive environment
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
Dependable, patient, and attentive caregiver Experience with autism or neurodivergent children preferred Comfortable supporting communication and social development Ability to follow family routines and agency guidelines
