MAT Coordinator / Behavioral Health Professional (BHP 1)

Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MAT Coordinator / Behavioral Health Professional (BHP 1) to support Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services within a correctional healthcare setting. This role is responsible for coordinating substance use disorder treatment services, counseling, care planning, documentation, and continuity of care for inmates participating in MAT programs. The ideal candidate will have strong behavioral health experience, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Key Responsibilities Coordinate Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services for inmates with substance use disorders Conduct screenings, assessments, orientations, counseling sessions, referrals, treatment planning, and discharge planning Collaborate with ODRC Medical, Medicaid Enrollment, MHAS Community Linkage, and contracted Opioid Treatment Providers to ensure coordinated care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic healthcare records and required systems Monitor inmate attendance, participation, and progress in substance use disorder treatment programs Review inmate files for MAT program admission and participation eligibility Provide crisis intervention and continuing care planning support Monitor and support MAT participants at additional institutions as assigned Participate in quality assurance activities, utilization reviews, peer reviews, and clinical record reviews Provide technical assistance and training to staff involved in recovery services programs as needed Attend seminars, conferences, and trainings to maintain professional development Maintain compliance with OhioMHAS, ODRC
policies, protocols, and standards of employee conduct Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Active Ohio licensure in one of the following preferred:LCDC II / LCDC III / LICDC LSW / LISW PC / PCC
