Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Behavioral Health Counselor to provide comprehensive mental health and behavioral support within a multidisciplinary clinical setting. The ideal candidate will possess licensure such as

II/III, or LICDC, and demonstrate expertise in evidence-based therapeutic modalities. The counselor will play a vital role in promoting mental wellness, supporting clients with co-occurring disorders, and ensuring adherence to clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake interviews and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis. Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions tailored to diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health episodes effectively while ensuring client safety. Collaborate with medical professionals to coordinate care plans involving psychopharmacology and co-occurring disorder management. Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to medical records standards while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical ethical guidelines. Utilize telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions, ensuring seamless patient engagement across various settings including inpatient and outpatient facilities. Engage in clinical research initiatives to support evidence-based practice improvements and contribute to data collection efforts for quality enhancement. Skills Extensive experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and crisis management. Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques for patient engagement and behavior change facilitation. Strong background working with children & family counseling, special education populations, pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology related to mental health treatment. Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases involving co-occurring disorders through case management skills. Knowledge of clinical documentation standards for medical records and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience delivering telehealth therapy services across inpatient and outpatient settings using secure platforms. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
