Duties Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy. Provide individual and/or couples counseling sessions both in-person and via telehealth platforms. Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage emergency situations with professionalism and urgency to ensure client safety. Document all clinical interactions accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care. Offer specialized support for clients with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD, addiction issues, or chronic pain conditions. Skills Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis and documentation. Excellent skills in crisis management, crisis intervention, behavior management, and patient assessment. Ability to conduct mental health assessments and treatment planning with precision and empathy. Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities—including autism—and diverse populations such as geriatrics or pediatrics. Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and clinical research methods to support evidence-based practice. Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and treatments; experience with inpatient/outpatient settings preferred. Competence in case management, client communication, group therapy facilitation, and clinical documentation standards aligned with HIPAA guidelines.
