Job Description

Setting This role is in a private practice setting with other professionals such as psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed professional counselors, licensed professional clinical counselors, and social workers. Role Description The Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) will provide direct outpatient counseling services to adults in an on-site setting located in Middleburg Heights, OH. This contract role includes conducting intake assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based individual and family therapy. The LPC will monitor progress, adjust interventions as needed, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards. The role includes supervision and collaboration in preparation for meeting the hours necessary for candidates to become an LPCC. Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in the state of Ohio, with adherence to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional practice standards. Consideration will be given to applicants who have met the requirements to sit for the NCE exam but have not yet completed it. Demonstrated competence in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for children, adolescents, and adults with diverse psychiatric and mental health needs. Experience providing evidence-based individual, family, and group counseling, including behavioral therapies and psychoeducation. Strong skills in interdisciplinary collaboration, including working effectively with physicians, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and other mental health professionals. Ability to manage clinical documentation accurately and efficiently, including progress notes, treatment plans, and required reports. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build therapeutic rapport and maintain professional boundaries. Capacity to respond to crises, conduct risk assessments, and follow appropriate safety and referral protocols when needed. Experience in outpatient mental health or community-based settings is preferred; prior work with diverse populations and complex clinical presentations Comfort working on-site in Middleburg Heights, OH, with reliability, professional integrity, and a commitment to patient-centered care. This is a contracted role and pay is a fair percentage based on each session.
