Job Description

Header Overview Join our dynamic educational team as a Contracted School Therapist, where your expertise will make a profound impact on students' mental health and overall well-being. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health counseling, behavioral therapy, and crisis intervention within a school setting. Your dedication will help foster a supportive environment that promotes positive development, resilience, and academic success for children and adolescents facing diverse challenges. This position offers an engaging opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver tailored therapeutic services that meet each student's unique needs. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs of students. Deliver individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices. Implement crisis intervention strategies promptly and effectively to de-escalate situations and ensure student safety. Collaborate with school staff, families, and external providers to develop and execute personalized case management plans. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize behavioral management techniques to support students with disabilities or developmental challenges, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other behavioral health conditions. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care plans and monitor student progress through data collection and analysis. Stay current with medical terminology, mental health best practices, and legal requirements related to school-based therapy services. Experience Proven experience working with children and adolescents in educational or clinical settings. Demonstrated expertise in crisis management, conflict resolution, and behavior management strategies. Strong background in behavioral health disciplines such as social work, mental health counseling, or psychology. Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation procedures for mental health conditions including PTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety and depression.

From $43.00 per hour
